WOW! What a day! I had the honor of photographing Nick and Megan from their engagements, to her beautiful bridals, and ultimately their special day!
Jenny Beth and I loaded up at 9am on this Saturday morning and headed to Hot Springs. Little did we realize that this was going to be the HOTTEST day of the year. I'm pretty sure no one will ever forget the heat this day. It was so hot that the bridal suite was a whoppin' 99 degrees WITH two AC's running.
We met the bride and party at the hotel where they had decided to get ready due to the heat at the wedding venue. I was ecstatic to see a calm and beautiful bride awaiting to marry her prince charming a few hours later. From here JB and I loaded some wedding cargo and headed to the venue. Here we met some of the BEST groomsmen ever. They were up for anything and enjoyed being in front of the camera. We were ecstatic to have such a fun group on such a hot day. These boys enjoyed every moment and were the absolute best.
A few hours later the bride and her girls showed up, finished the details, and we headed out for portrait shots outside. WHOOO WEE! Everyone was soaking, except that beautiful bride. Amidst the hustle and bustle of this day, Megan was calm and collected. We finished up portraits and Megan and Nick had opted out of the "first look" so we headed back in to freshen up, chug 2 gallons of water, and get ready for the ceremony.
God sure knew what he was doing. As soon as Megan stepped out of her beautiful venue, the sun began to set, a breeze came through, and we were blessed to witness such a beautiful ceremony with God's perfect light shining on them both.
After the I DO's, the bridal party and bride&groom set out to party. With a perfectly catered dinner with catfish and such, the couples family and friends danced the night away. Everything about this wedding was PERFECT from the mini cakes to the popcorn bar. Everything had Megan and Nick's name and personalities written all over it. We had THE BEST time with this fun loving couple who loves to laugh together.
I particularly enjoyed watching the flower girl and Megan's sister (maid of honor) throughout the day. The sweet little flower girl watched Megan's every move throughout the day. You'll notice throughout their video that she was never far from Megan's side...including while Nick managed to retrieve the garter. :)
Grace enjoyed watching her sweet sister get married. I could see in her eyes throughout the day as she planned her future wedding, just like any little girl dreams of. Watching her sister get married through childlike eyes was absolutely the highlight of Grace's dreams. I sure could see those wheels turning.
We can't say enough great things about both families this day. I have never seen the amount of love and caring from both families as I did this day. When bride and groom marry, they say two become one. In this case, two complete families became one. I wish I could share with you in words that amount of love these families have for one another. Y'all! I have THE BEST job. I get to witness what the guests of weddings don't get to see...passion. Passion for the couple, the perfection of the day, passion for each others families, the successes of the couple, and the couples passion for one another. It's truly a dream come true of mine.
Megan and Nick are absolutely meant for each other. As many artists have written, "God knew what he was doing when he made you." That phrase is perfect for these two. Congrats to you both. What a beautiful day for such a beautiful couple...inside and out.

I'm just a tad ecstatic to finally be able to share with you Mr. and Mrs. Sebourn's special day! We've waited until the bride and groom had a chance to share their special day with close family and friends before we shared their day with the world! :)
I can't tell you how much we enjoyed spending the day with Sam and Mitch! They are absolutely perfect for each other. Her family is so very supportive and such a friendly little family. I felt like I was part of the family all day. Jenny Beth and I enjoyed every moment.
We began the day at the salon with the girls and flower girls. Sam was one of the calmest bride's we've had the pleasure of 'hanging out with' on their wedding day. The boys on the other hand...WOW! I can't believe how involved the groomsmen were. Jenny Beth and I couldn't say enough good things about those boys! They made sure the bridal gown was in it's place, everyone was taken care of, water bottles were laid out for guests, etc. etc. etc. They were truly the BEST groomsmen EVER!
Sam and Mitch decided to also do a first look! I was ECSTATIC and overjoyed for her. She said on multiple occasions throughout the day how happy she was to have had a first look. Listen ladies...it's sooooo worth it! I know we are southern gals, but a first look is to die for. I also enjoyed photographing her parents and grandparents. Oh how they love each other! You'll see in the video. Just wait. ;-) Her grandma reminded me so much of my grandma's that I wanted to bundle her up and take her home with me and keep her forever. HA! I also enjoyed her grandpa spending the evening telling me stories as I photographed the first dances. I loved the twinkle in his eye as he reminisced about his little granddaughter riding the lawn mower with him years ago and how proud he is of her.
(This is why I LOVE to blog about a bride's day!) We see so much behind the scenes, hear great stories, and capture details only the photographer can see. WE LOVE WEDDINGS!
I was also elated when Sam and Mitch were up for some nighttime shots. Example below. Enjoy a little sneak peek into one of the most beautiful and sweets weddings. We love you Sebourn's! Here's to many many happy years! P.S. You are too adorable. :-)
Guess what? That's right! It's that time of year AGAIN! :) I'm so ecstatic to be able to offer you fall mini sessions this year! We will have the most perfect location set up for you and your family to finally get those holiday pictures that grandma asks about and expects in that Christmas card each year. This year we are also printing them for you! Now you have no excuse not to get that family photo to grandma this year. :)
I'm ecstatic about getting to catch up with old and new clients! We are offering 20 minute sessions on October 11th. That's about the perfect amount of time to get in those photos that you're wanting and not too long of a session that that special man in your life isn't wondering when it's going to be over with. ;) I know ladies...I have 'THAT' husband. ;)

Can I just say WOW! I have the most AMAZING clients! I have been photographing little Noah since he was about 4 days old! When his momma called me and asked if I'd do his 4 year old pics, I was ecstatic! (Yes, I am overusing the !!!!, but I'd really like you to hear the excitement in my voice.)
I didn't have to beg her long about doing a lifestyle shoot with sweet Noah. She envisions every detail that I have for her boy's shoots down to the last detail. I couldn't ask for better clients/friends! We discussed a bit about what to do for his 4 year old shoot and we NAILED it!

I have known Samantha, AKA Superstar, for quite some time We actually went to college together and have enjoyed one of the world's most rewarding and difficult jobs together the past few years together. Even though we are not at the same district, we know all teachers have this inner connection. LOL!
I have adored this young lady from the day I met her so many years ago. When her first and last name were said during class I immediately started calling her 'Superstar.' She just has that superstar name that many artists change their names to sound like. I love this girl!
I have some of the most beautiful clients and friends...including Sam! She's beautiful INSIDE and OUT! I am truly honored to have been chosen to be a part of her special day!
Now Mitch. Let's talk about Mitch. After all these years...I FINALLY got to meet him at our engagement session. I feel like I know him personally after hearing about him throughout the YEARS! Yes, YEARS! ;-)))) He ABSOLUTELY adores her! I love that about him. Not sure if anyone else noticed, but between shots and poses he watched her every move with a twinkle in his eye. He adores her and I couldn't be happier for the two of them.
Plus gentlemen...take note. He is still a southern gentleman, opening her car door and holding her hand as she walked down hills to make sure she was taken great care of.
